Re: JC Whitney Fuel Pressure Gauge

I bought their CIS kit in 1992, and have used it AT LEAST 100 times on
various Audis, VWs, Saabs, Volvos, you name it, and it's held up quite
well. I have even dropped the damn thing a few times and the glass
survived. No leaks, no complaints, and quite accurate readings. It
even has a handy air purge/pressure relief valve on the gauge housing.
Definately buy it-- you can probably find a nicer set (rubber armour
around gauge, better assortment of adapters), but you'll spend a LOT
more money for it. If you're in need of adapters that don't come w/ the
kit, head to your local foreign car junk yard and yank an assortment of
banjo bolts and fittings from dead VW's & Audis. Also, don't forget to
yank both male and female Bosch D-Jetronic style plugs to make a test
harness for measuring differential pressure regulator current draw.

Good luck.

Eric.
