very close, except 1989, not 1990.
i just found a note that seemed to indicate that prior to 1987 all (US) 5k
quattros were turbo... ? contradictions anyone?
and for the uninitiated and overseas - Audi had a real time-warp disconnect
between body style changes and names in the states... it could have been so
simple, but it wasn't:
Names Model Changes
--------------------------------------------
1980 5000/5000Turbo
1984 new aero body
1989 100/200
1991 200 gets 20v
1992 100/S4 new body, 100=V6, S4=I5t
1995 A6/S6
1997 no S6's anymore
1998 new ugly butt car and no sport yet :^(
