1-owner 4kq for sale
Impending TT arrival forces sale:
1984 Audi 4000S quattro
Car is in Weston, MA USA (sometimes in Waltham days). Montego black
metallic (when new, now more like ordinary black). Manual sunroof. Around
116+k miles (I'm forgetting exactly.) I am the original owner.
Suspension/brakes are in excellent condition: new control-arm and swaybar
bushings last year, along with new Boge Turbo Gas (or Pro Gas, I can never
remember the difference. The stiffer ones.) Stainless steel brake lines,
new rotors and Porterfield RS pads. K&N filter.
Body is fair at best. Some vandalization scratches along passenger side.
Some scratches on sunroof. Rust around rear license plate/backup lights.
Some other rust around rear wheels. Body is basically sound, but by no
means pristine.
Infinity speakers in rear deck powered by small amp in trunk. Pioneer
speakers in dash also powered by small amp in console. Factory front end.
An additional small amp connected to front channel is not currently driving
anything, but used to drive Cambridge Soundwork Ensemble woofers behind the
back seat, which sounded excellent with the Pioneers.
MSW wheels (pretty ugly) with nearly new Dunlop D60A2s. 5 OEM wheels (4
silver and one gold) with BFG R1's (mostly worn out after this Sunday.)
There is a photo at http://www.comscc.org/~comscc/gallery/nh1098_6.htm 4th
car down.
Never seen snow (that it couldn't drive through.)
Everything works except:
Tach stopped working two days ago. I haven't had time to look into the
cause.
Power antenna is stripped internally and disconnected. It can be raised and
lowered manually.
Asking $2300/bo without the extra wheels; $2500/bo with the 5 extra wheels;
$2800/bo with wheels and 2 Schroth Rallye 3 harnesses installed; $18,000
with all of the above and a 1988 Corvette roadster.
