Phil,
The Mac-05 ECU uses a fault code retrieval procedure which is the same as
was used on the USA "KH" Turbo engine with the Mac-07 ECU. It requires a
different technique to pull the codes, you have to manually close the full
throttle switch and then use the brake pedal to step through the sequence.
The Check Engine light, and the tachometer dial position indicate the
faults. A European list member confirmed that the "KH" procedure works on
the Mac-05 "KG" setup. My web site has the details at
