85 4KSQ FS in Boston Area

I have too many cars and need to sell my 1985 4000s Quattro

I have all receipts (I have spent literally thousands> $10K since I bought
it in 1993).

Car has 190K miles, but runs very strong. It needs a paint bad
(especially on the hood), and could use a rear quarter, but mechanically
the car is in very good condition. I will never recover the $$ I put into
the car, nor do I expect to -- so if you're looking for a strong running
Quattro to turn into a club racer-- this is the one.

Lots of stuff, in fact most stuff -- doesn't work. It is a daily driver
(girlfriend) and it doesn't get beat on. A couple years back I redid the
entire suspension-- Boges, control arms, bushings, ball joints, tie
rods/ends-- everything. It handles vy nice.

Sell for $1000.00

Details:

190K
pwr windows, locks, etc.
red w/grey and black interior (velour)

New Stuff:

Literally everything has been replaced in this car, I'll never be able to
list it all-- here's some recent stuff off the top of my head..

   BOGE Turbo Gas Shocks
Front, rear tie rod/ends, all new front suspension-- no expense spared
   New Tires
   (4) new windows regulators
$750 recent engine tune: wires, plugs, rotor, and valve cover gasket
   Starter, alternator, battery
Exhaust (all the way-- Audi parts)
   Brakes, all (4) corners
Wheel bearings, CV joints -- all 4 corners
   Radiator, fan
   Fuel pump, filter
   Timing belt, water pump
Too much more to even think about-- have all paperwork

Problem Areas:

Car runs real nice -just tuned- no probs there
   Hood needs re-paint
Very minor rear-end accident that put a small dent in the right-rear
   quarter-- bumper OK
Electrical issue with radio-- doesn't work (probably a non-issue for the
Q-heads)- drains batter for some reason
   Passenger-side mirror is toast
   Sunroof it toast--but doesn't leak
   Heated seats are toast
   A/C is toast

Again, this is a great candidate for a club racer. It was my intention to
throw a roll-cage and a turbo engine in it and take it to the track. It
could be a good parts car, but once you drive it-- you'll see that it would
be a shame to strip it down that way.

No reason to sell other than I just have too many cars. Located in
Framigham, MA (30 mins. west of Boston), or in Boston- just let me know and
I'll drive it into work.
