They got the Toyota, but left the Quattro
One of the things I've loved about my car ('91 200Q avant), is that it's not
only a lot of car for the money, but it's also a stealth vehicle--a Q ship.
Sometime between midnight and early this morning, thieves stole my
neighbor's car, a white '91 Toyota Camry, parked inches next to my car. In
fact, I was a bit pissed with my neighbor, because he (or his wife) had
parked so close to my space. The thief or thieves apparently did a very
clean job. THere's no broken glass, or evidence of anything. THere's
apparently not a scratch on my car, just an empty space next to it. THe
irony is that I didn't attach 'The Club' last night, though I have one. I'm
not trusting fate anymore; the Club goes on from now on. But I suppose this
is further evidence that at least this Audi is invisible to thieves. By the
way, my neighbor is quite upset (the Toyota was his first car, and he
purchased it new), because he knew his car was worth less than mine. But as
we all know, that doesn't have much to do with whether one's car is stolen.
