RE: Hydraulic fluid light
Dee-
How did you determine what the problem was? Did your check engine light
come on? Did you use your code jumper? I've had an intermittent "Check
Engine" light coming on only on the way to work, only occasionally. It
seems the only way to find out what is wrong is to look in Bentley. I
posted a cry for help on the Q-list, but to no avail (fault code 2411 if
anybody is still interested)...

Subject: Hydraulic fluid light
Audi Friends,
The other morning, driving to work, I noticed that one of Baby's 'check me'
lights was on. So, I pulled over, got out the manual and found that it was
the hydraulic fluid. Hmmm, sounds serious. The manual says pull over
immediately and check fluid level. The rest of the instructions basically
say
if low...add fluid and go immediately to your nearest Audi dealer. That was
a
little unnerving, to say the least. Anyway I checked the hydraulic fluid and
it was up to max and I checked the brake fluid and that was also at max.
Which I certainly expected it to be since it was just in for service a month
ago. So I got back in and continued on to work. The light never came on
again. Nor did it come on the next couple of days. Then yesterday morning
there it was again and the same this morning. I would prefer to have a
little
advance info before I call the service department tomorrow. Could it be a
bad
sensor?
TIA,
