A4 List

Hello Dan and other listers,

I would be interested in a A4/new S4 type group.  I don't know if any of the 
forums at www.a4.org already have something going or not or how good/active 
they are.  I have subscribed on and off to this list since 1996 and it is 
very good (covers all models Audi's)

I just purchased a 99.5 A4 with all options except hands free phone (which I 
plan to install myself since the basics are there already.)  I bought the car 
from Carousel Porsche Audi here in Mlps, took delivery last Thursday.

I owned a '90 V8 pearl (I guess it was similar in body and interior to a 
200TQ) and it was a great car.  

I just sold my '98 passat gls and bought the A4.  The passat had the 1.8T and 
was FWD so it was 400 lbs lighter then my Quattro v6.  It also built up Max 
torque much more quickly at 1750 rpm vs. v6 4-5k, and was quicker out of the 
hole then the a4.  However the a4 is a much better car and I really wanted 
the awd (great for MN winter, and all the time.)

 I 've been looking at the pchip and cat back or some better exhaust and I 
ordered my k&N filter from tap already.  I don't really know what to do about 
tires and wheels, I think the biggest tires that will fit appear to be 
40/18's.  It has the sport suspension so I don't plan any mods right away 
(unless I get some good input from someone otherwise.)

Also I thinking about a spoiler for the rear , but don't know what is the 
best one for the new 99.5 body.

And of course there is the subject of bulbs for the lights and driving lights 
in general.  The lighting on the new a4 is much better but I have not really 
had a chance to check it out a night much yet.  There is a write up on a4.org 
that says piaa super whites are a waste of money.  My experience says 
otherwise but? 

If anyone has any suggestions on anything any and all advice comments etc are 
appreciated.
