Yes, I believe you're right about the fit. Good idea! I just went down to
the garage and verified that our 2 3/4 lb kitchen extinguisher fits rather
neatly against the black plastic cover below and to the front of the
driver's seat. I wonder if that plastic cover is strong enough to secure
the thing to. However, one might be able to design a simple, strong
(metal), angled bracket-- part of which fits under the floormat and is
secured by the two floormat posts. Those posts look strong enough to hold
seatbelt anchors, don't they? ;-).
