No BTDT here, but i'm fairly certain that the headrest material (from
what i've seen when I sawed mine in half) is cold roll, cold formed
steel. The metal is extruded, then after cooling, rolled. This gives a
hard surface to the metal. Then after being rolled, bent while cold
(hence the nasty marks left where the bends are made) and chromed.
