Re: high rpm @ h-way speed

I didn't realize that so many 5k's overestimate speed--mine does as
well. Maybe the pre-60 Minutes Audi's didn't have this safety feature.

For those of you with this problem, does your trip computer indicate
correct speed? Mine does. Example: I'm driving along at 80 on the
needle. I go to the Average Speed mode of the trip computer and hit
reset. The new average shows, say, 76. The trip computer numbers are
about right, based on highway milemarkers and police speedometer
calibration trailers (what else can you call those things?).

It looks like the trip computer is dead on and the needle is always ~4
mph high. I'll have to look in the Bentley sometime for how to adjust
that.
