The most incredible accident occurred a little while ago at the race.  One
of the AMG Mercedes lost the downforce on the front and it lifted
completely off the track doing about 3 completely flips with a half twist. 
It left the track, easily clearing the armco barriers, and crashed into the
woods alongside the track.  The AMG team immediately pulled the other car
into the garage, I would guess to avoid another incident.  I believe they
had this happen twice during qualifying or testing for the race. 
Apparently the driver was okay and in fact was said to be sitting outside
the car when the safety personnel got there.

Awesome stuff.

The blasted b m  w's have the lead car.  The Toyotas were pressing very
hard at the beginning, but are having some problems now.

Just saw one of the Audis go down a run off area after overcooking the
corner, but is fortunately undamaged and back out.
