I wrote a reply to this immediately, unfortunately the mail servers here

Anyway,

Hi Igor,
Thanks for the note. I completely agree with you at boost pressures
exceeding 2.0 - 2.2 bar. But I maintain positive 1.8 - 2.0 bar, _measured_
, at 5,250 rpm with the K24. I raced both my cars, car in question, 88
5kcstq w/K24, against my 86 5kcst 5 sp w/K26, both running 1.8 bar, 2nd gear
+ 3500 RPM start (In 1st gear the FWD has a wheel spin problem). Both cars
were dead nuts even to 80 mph (max we achieved). The FWD 5sp weighs 300 lbs
less than the Q. These 2 real world examples had led me to believe that at
reasonable street pressures, the K24 _is_ a great mod for the MC-1. I get
full boost in the mid 2,000 rpm level, and no tail-off at high rpm. I still
think (and every qhead that drives my car) this is THE killer addition to a
1.8 bar mod. Ask Avi. "Avi, you out there"?? It makes the car great to
drive, gobs of torque down low, and great launches. I know you like the
K26, but I believe you've been running pressures I don't plan on
running...(or were. Did you sell the 89??)

Thanks for the comments Igor. Always appreciated...
