Hello,
This problem has a few different solutions. You can get the newer audi 
regulator and it will be expensive, I think Phil has posted about the
template to make the new mounting holes.
The next solution is to use the part from GPR, or whoever, I think
lots of places can supply the generic version. It will require an
additional hole to be drilled as well, and some re-alignment work. It
will be significantly slower, and this is a distraction. I put one of
these in my Ur-q and I really don't like it much.
The last solution I know of is to rebuild the original regulator using 
instructions that I think can be found on Chris Millers' web
page. This is complicated and difficult to get correct, IMHO, although 
I have not tried it myself.
