check the cap.Should be 17>19 psi. The gauge is also sensitive to
voltage problems Make sure it has it's own 12 volt feed. If you spliced
into anoter circuit,check the voltage. Check the sender against the
message I forwarded to you.(re: vdo sender resistance readings). If you
have the 250F gauge make sure the sender says max 197C.
The coolant switch in the bottom of the radiator should turn the fan on
at 195F. The switch in the middle of the hose that connects the coolant
tank to the bottom of the rad. SHOULD turn the fan on HI when the
coollant reaches overheat temps. It works thru the hi speed fan relay.
The A/C temp switch works thru the "double A/C" relay which also
controls the blower motor. A thorough checking of the fan circuits is
in order. IMHO.
