Re: '90 V8 Cat Converter



Had the same, strange rattle during acceleration on my 87 5ks.  Isolated
the sound to the cat and learned that a seal on the front of the cat was
deteriorated, and it was just the cat and the exhaust downpipe banging
together.  New cat and installation was in the hundreds of dollars, so I
fixed it by removing the cat and straight-piping it. No inspections here
in FL!
