Funky V8 starting problem!

Hello again!

I probably should have put all of my questions in one email this
morning!

Another problem that I am having with my '90 V8 regards starting -
actually, it starts fine, if I press the gas pedal slightly. As you
know, that action interferes with the startup sequence, and as soon as
you let up the pedal, it will immediately die. That is normal, as I
understand. The problem is that if I don't press the gas pedal at all,
it will start, run for 1/2 second, and die anyway.

What I must do to get the car started is to *hold* the pedal, until I
get the car running down the road at about 20 mph, then let go. The
force of the car moving forward is enough the keep the engine spinning
while it goes through its startup sequence, and afterward, the car runs
great until it stops. This problem happens regardless of engine or
outside temperature.

Anyone out there had this experience?
