Odd fuel pump cut-off and brake lamp bahviour...

Hi!

Something funny happened on the way home yesterday evening.
I went to the gas station to put in some juice. On the way
out I put on the brakes and the warning sign came up to
indicate a blown lamp. I decided to head off to the spares
shop to get a bundle of new ones. Darn traffic found me
getting to the spares shop at exactly 6:01pm, they close
at 6pm. On the way the signal was beeping all the time I
hit the brakes. With the headlamps on it only beeped when
I lifted off the brake pedal. I thought that was odd.

On the way I get stuck behind a Golf in a single lane.
The lane is about to split into a double lane and go
round a mild bend. The golf indicates for the left lane,
starts to take it and lets me go on the right. Around
the bend he starts coming at me and fills half my lane.
I had to move into oncoming traffic to avoid him and I
had to gun the gas. As I do this my car cuts out 6-7
times in rapid succession all in the span of a Golf's
length! It just kept snapping when it hit 1.2 bar boost.
Normally it cuts out at 1.6 - 1.7 due to the wastegate
without a diaphragm.

Who's been there done that with anything like this?

To top it off, I get to the spares store, it's closed, I
go back to the car and drive off. Not a word from the brake
lamps. Not a beep. Get home, check them. They're fine.
Also seemed to have gained a tonne of extra power from
somewhere. Car seems to pull nicely.

Electrical gremlins perhaps? Should I just let this session
fly by or is there a routine I can follow to check it out.
No fuses seem blown in the box. In my haste I forgot to pull
the codes.
