You had 4 people in the car and he had only 1.  Thats a big difference.  Your 
car is about

0214/index.html).  Assuming that you had 2 males and 2 females in the car and 
the males being a average of 160lbs and the females average of 125, your 
3505lb car is now 4075lbs.  Thats alot heavier than the V8(I think), which is 
a full size car.  So the load in the car had to do alot with it.  And the 
little things that your dad might have had on, could slow down his 
performance, like the A/C.  My 87 honda accord LX had a whopping 98 Hps, but 
I was able to take a 95 honda accord vtec off the line, and was able to keep 
up with it until I got to 100mph.  52hps difference.  The 95 honda had 3 
people and I had only 1. 
Something to ponder about.  Is it time to get some access fat off  your 
quattros?  hehehe
