89 200TQ Fuse Blown

A fuse has blown in my 89 200TQ and now the computer and clock are out
on the dash, the
alarm does not sound when I lock the car were it did before.  Nnow
everytime I start
 the car the heater comes on and shows 74 dregrees on the temp setting. 
When I 
replaced the fuse it blows as soon as I put it in.  The fuse is the No.
4 fuse which
shows that it controls the dash lights, trunk light, footwell lights and
the AC control
unit.  Another funny thing is that before the fuse blow the A/C control
head would not
 show a outside temp of more than 58 degrees F.  I assumed this is the
reason the A/C
 would not come on and now it shows the correct temp but the A/C still
does not work
I am kind of thinking the A/C control unit may be the problem.  

Has anyone had this happen to them or have any suggestions?

I would really appreciate some input.
