School bus ate my Q!
Hi List,

I must of upset the Audi Gods.

My afterrun pump, injector cooling fan and
radiator fan no longer seem to function, just in time for the warm
weather.  My radiator fan also runs only on high.  My understanding is
the post shut down running of the radiator fan is on low, and the likely culprit
to it not running on slow speeds and after shut down is the blue resistor pack
being kaput.  What is the association with the resistor pack and the
injector fan and afterrun pump?  Where do I start?

Then, to add insult to injury, my check engine
light will come on at about 0.8 bar.  It doesn't do this all the time, but
it is fairly consistent.  An '88 Audi 5kcstq at 0.8 bar is not very
impressive.  I normally can pull 1.2 at WOT -- I know this is low, but I
haven't gotten around to debugging the 1.2 problem.  When the check engine
light does not come on at 0.8, is still does 1.2 at WOT.

I understand the check engine light will come on transiently
if the engine is knocking, and the ECU cannot retard the ignition any
further.  Bad gas is the likely cause for that, but I suspect that is not
what I am seeing.

I pulled the codes, as it were, after my last run with the
check engine light coming on at 0.8 bar.  I get 2322, then 0000.
Further insert/remove of the fuse into the relay yields no further
flashing.  Naturally, my Bentley does not list a 2322.

At 0.8 bar I can just keep up with the school bus when it is
empty except for the driver.  Please help :-)  I am going to pull the
plugs as soon as the engine cools a bit and I get something to eat.  Do I
expect super rich carbonized plugs?

Best, and thanks,
