Excessive Noise

I drive an '84 Quantum GL-5...Right now I've got a number of "situations". 
First and foremost, I'm driving something that sounds much like an 
approaching Aabrams Tank. I believe it to be the exhaust manifold. The noise 
comes from under the hood and in the direction of it...the right (from the 
driver's perscpective). It's been replaced before, 4 or 5 years ago now. I 
can't find any cracks in it with a look-over. Could it be bad manifold 
gaskets? It's screwed to the block. Dunno? What should I look for. The next 
situation is bad O2 sensor, I think. Syptoms to look for other than 
decreased performance and bad gas mileage? Any tips for changin' the fuel 
filter? Also, anyone got any good ideas as to how to get a little more air 
into the system...if anyone else is familar with the older 5cyl they'll also 
know that the air "intake" is nothing but a hole behind a headlight. Anyway,
