when your new fan arrives you can take the old one apart and replace the two
bearings...they are a common bearing #6001Z (the Z designates that they are
only sealed on one side.) a standard 6001 can be used. these are available
even at your local bicycle shop. when i did mine about 25000km ago i lifted
the seal and added more grease and militec 1. we have had some 90 deg days
here and in rush hour traffic it works fine. before replacing the bearings
the engine would cut out when the fan started due to the huge current draw.
