Yes, it seems that the term 80 is being used in it's European 
sense, rather than in it's U.S.-centric context (as it should be <g>).

We didn't have Audi 80's until '88, but we had 4000's which were 
80's in Europe.

I guess that means that A v G (what is that anyway?) was talking 
about converting a 4000 to an RS2?  I guess that would take alot of 
work!
