RE: Cleaning windshileds
Hi fellow listers,
Just thought I would throw in my 2p's worth.
I have tried both vinegar on a sponge to remove grease and also toothpaste
on a small sponge (the coarser the better) the best paste to use is not the
ones with coloured stripes in but a plain one. I am sure my neighbours think
I am barking mad putting toothpaste on my screen.
On another odd subject I also used with success last weekend ,black boot
polish applied with a rag to re colour the black paint around the B pillar
and doors on my '85 Coupe Q, this was grey before I tried this (faded due
to sun I presume). I didn't want to use normal car polish because the paint
is quite thin. So far it looks great and hasn't washed off, I think one more
application will be needed to make it look perfect. Also tried it on mirrors
and other black parts like the rear spoiler, so far looks great too.
