I've got a 1986 200tqw (5000 tqw in the states). My US model has the US MB
(MC) motor, yours will have the KH (KG?). Otherwise s/b the same. Let's
ask the expert...
Frank Bauer, any comments??

I love the wagon. However I have an opinion about buying Audi's. While
I'll buy the cheapest one I can find, I really don't like buying them with
body damage. You are gonna have to buy $2000 at least worth of mechanical
stuff, and body repair here in the states is mucho $$$$. I bought the last
3 Q's for pretty cheap, and all of them needed $2,000 worth of parts. Throw
in $2k - $4k worth of body parts, you could get a real nice car instead,
without the hassle. I'd prefer to put good money into mechanicals instead
of bodywork. I get more return out of the mechanicals. Buy a straight car
if you can. My .02.
