Two places to suspect and check - the switch at the pedal (the one with
no vacuum connection) and the connection at the left light cluster. If
this gets crummy you'll only get a left brake light.
To check the switch use a test light at the left cluster. No juice,
check the switch by unplugging it and jumpering the contacts in the
plug. If the lights work like that, clean or replace switch while you
have it out, testing it's "closed" resistance til it's nice and low.
like zero. It's a normally closed switch, so you measure it without
pressing the little button in.
I don't think this circuit runs through any other junk but if it does
someone will correct me...
