RE: Shipping wheels???? UPS questions!
Make sure he's getting a shipping quote for each wheel as a separate
package. Any packages sent UPS that exceed 70lbs are subject to a "heavy
package" penalty fee. BTDT. Discount Tire and Tire Rack definitely get a
shipping break over standard UPS rates, but $200 sounds about $50 - $75 on
the high side.

Subject: Shipping wheels???? UPS questions!
I just bought a set of A4 Sport wheels from a guy in CA. He said he went to
UPS and they wanted $200 to ship the wheels to me in WI!!!!!!!!!!!! I was
like WHOA!!!!
I know for a fact my dad has had wheels and tires shipped from Tire Rack and
costed no more than $10 a wheel ($40 total)...that was the most he's ever
spent, and we've bought a few wheels and tires in our day.
So, what's the deal??? What is the trick to get parts (mainly wheels and
tires) sent at a reasonable price. Any BTDT's???? PLEASE HELP!!!! I don't
want to end up spending $200 on SHIPPING!!!!!

Dan
