I don't know if it has been mentioned yet...

When my windows and sunroof died, it turned out to be the wires at the door.
The dwires that feed through to the driver's side door must endure alot of
movement and flexing due to door opening and closing - more than other doors
of course.  

The wire insulation that Audi used has a tendency to become brittle, and
these wires just snap.  Check it out.
