shipping wheels
one of the things to watch out for when shipping is the overall dimension of
the carton and not the weight. in my business i have to be careful because
although a bike is lightweight it is in an oversize carton. in some cases
that can translate to a $600.00 charge! a individual also gets the highest
rates...if you know someone with a business who does a lot of shipping you
are much better off to ship under his account number. i have shipped through
a major distributor who's a friend for several years to get his shipping
rate. it also helps him to keep his volume high and thus to keep his
excellent rating.
so...to ship your wheels it would probably be cheaper to pack each
one individually and to ship 4 small cartons instead of one oversized carton.
