RE: S4/A6 2.7T specs (was: S4/new S6/A8 in AutoWeek)



I got a copy of this same article from the local dealer - they have a new
TT - Black - From AOA - not for sale - only for demo - must be returned to
AOA after trial period is up - and the price is unknown! Dealer estimated
$45-$60K

The reprint of the article below neglected to include one of the choicest
lines - A6 2.7T (the Bi-Turbo) :"will be capable of dusting off cars like
the BMW 528i or Mercedes-Benz 320 while offering equipment advantages,
bettter value and quattro all wheel drive"

I still maintain this car will eat BMW 540's, MZ3's and MB CLK
Kompressors...

Dealer said we will see the Bi-Turbo in the A6 form in the next six
months....

If I start saving today....

I don't understand how the 0-50 for the A6 2.7T can only be .1 seconds more
than the S4 as the car weighs 165lbs more (power-to-weight S4: 14.38 lbs/hp,
A6 2.7T: 15.04. FYI, the urS6 (!) Avant is around 17.3 (3923 lbs/227hp)).
