Lowering Springs
Well, I am going to try the springs out until I notice something that I
don't like. The springs are coupled with Koni Yellows so it will be
stiffer than stock to keep the car from bottoming out. I will be using my
stock rims/tires for about two weeks or three before I can find the wheels
I want. 185/70 14x5.5". New rims/tires will be 205/55 15x7" ET37. The
difference in ride height is minimal from real stock size 175/70. The 80
FWD has some big groud clearance compared to your q's and coupes... Check
www.audi80.com and click to see his 80 TYP89. Then click on old pics and
you will see a gray car. That is his car using the setup I will have with
stock size rims/tires. I am getting that exact suspension from him. The
car does not look like it's going to scrape the ground, bump steer, break
ball joints... Although he has stated that he goes through many a CV
cause of his new lowering. H&R Coilovers. Check the pics out and tell me
what you think then, thanks a bunch for the inputs. Gotta know what could
be ahead.
