Thanks & More ??'s about 200 TQ
Thanks for everyone's responses. Now I'm more determined to get the 89
200TQ. A couple more questions:
1.) The AC does not work, but the Climate Control system seems to work
fine. PO says that it worked last summer, but perhaps has a leak in
the system. Any checks I can do to see if compressor works/Climate
Control has a problem? It very well just could be a leak in the
system, but wondering if there are any checks I can do before spending
$$ on AC pressure tests, etc.
2.) PO says that sometimes the oil pressure light will blink randomly.
While on a 20 minute test drive, it did not. Furthermore, oil
pressure and temprature were great according to guages on dash. PO
says most likely the oil sensor/sender. Does this seem right? He says
it uses no oil, and I saw no evidence of leaks or smoke. For instance,
I know the multi function sender sensor is highly fragile (the temp
guage was intermittent - had the same problem on a '90 100 I once
owned) - does the oil sensor display similar behavior, or am I look at
a potential oil pump/other problem.
3.) The car displays classic "bomb" symptoms (I think). When first
started, the "BRAKE" light flashes on for a brief second when the pedal
is pushed. After running for a while, that symptom disapears. Is
this, in fact, the "bomb", or other problem. Pedal pressure is good,
and brakes are strong.
The car only has 75,000 miles, and really is great. Are these areas
for great concern?
