[off topic] A1990's I5 vs v6 motors
ah, raves. i went to my first rave in 1991. now i
throw them. i've been a dj for years and years,
mostly spinning ambient but these days i also play
drum & bass. i've been playing live electronica
for many years also.
i am in a couple of collectives that throw parties
(we seldom us the r word because of what the media
has done to it all). in particular, there are two
different parties over the weekend in july that are
simply spectacular. beautiful terraced organic gardens
and springfed ponds, wood fired hot tubs, all that cool
stuff. this is in willits, northern california.
because of my professional experience, i am always in
charge of power. i'll be heading to willits this
year, as usual, with a 40kw diesel generator in tow.
anyway, we try and break free of the sort of mainstream,
club-oriented parties and do more grassroots stuff,
with more participation from people, blurring the
performer/spectator line.
if anyone would like more info, or to attend and
meet a wonderful, friendly group of people, let me
know. i took mike williams to his first rave and he
loved it.
audi content: lots of times this stuff is way out in
the mountains. my 12 miles of intense urq offroading
south of big sur last weekend was the last leg of
a trip to a rave in alder creek. the merry pranksters
showed up, too :) anyway, same with the willits
party. the last 17 miles or so are dirt roads,
which can be a lot of fun in a q. also, the property
has some off-roading available; i can probably get
you permission for a blast up the mountain. here
are some url's:
