Urq missing with blinker on?!?

Ok, before I went and fried my hall sensor, I was fighting a strange
problem with the urquattro. When I turn on the turn signal, the
engine starts misfiring. Ok, says I, the ecu or ignition module must
see a significant voltage drop when the turn signal is on...time to
check the power and ground wires.

Of course, that is what caused me to fry my hall sensor, but I
still determine that all the voltage and ground wires were in
good shape. Resistance on all ground wires was less than an ohm
or so, and I was receiving a solid +12v at the ECU, coil, and
ignition circuits with the car off. I did notice a 0.3v drop
when the turn signal switched on, but that should be mitigated
by the +13.5v put out by the alternator. All of the other ignition
and ECU wires are in good shape and have very little resistance
to them (where I could measure). I have a pair of good solid
ground straps from the engine to the chassis, as well. This
one has me stumped, since I do not see any correlation between
the turn signal and the ignition, aside from power/ground.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Eric
