good point, although, speculation has it's advantages... as a friend points
out, its always good to be proven wrong, because subsequently you get to be
really right.  or another way to look at it, sometimes the incorrect
speculation of one is the opportunity for another to educate.  i was not
part of this thread but i'm fascinated to hear that an '86 Lada 2107 is an
excellent machine.  American stereotype now suitably adjusted.

brings to mind the numerous knuckleheads who have been insisting to me that
i/they/anybody has to have the 2.8 A4 not the 1.8T 'because you/i/they need
the power and torque'.  have you driven the 1.8T? 'nope, don't need to,
wimpy 4 cylinder thing.  gotta have the big motor man...'
