Don't feel too bad, its not just you, when I owned my former Audi coupe GT 
Commemorative Edition, A friend came over and said, "What happened to your 
windshield in the Audi?"  I said, "What the hell are you talking about." He 
told me the windshield was busted, and sure enough, there was a 2 foot long 
by 6 inch thick tree branch through the windshield.  Only cost $300 for 
that one, but earlier this year......

There was a bad windstorm here and a tree fell on my Isuzu 4x4 (recently 
custom painted).  The main truck missed, but a whole lot of big branches 
fell accross the front.  Damaged every panel except the bed and tailgate 
(hood, both fenders, both doors, grille, roof, busted windshield.  Only 
consolation was it was insured.  Pocketed the check, sold the truck, and 
bought the below mentioned Ford, where I don't have to worry about body 
damage.  Same with the present Audi.  I keep thinking about painting it 
(body is straight, just clear is starting to peel), but then I know I will 
be the one relating the sad tale of woe.
