RE: supercharged 4KSQ and clutch mods?

I'm not sure whether the 5ktq clutch will bolt to the 4000Q flywheel, but
the preferred setup would be to install the much lighter flywheel from the
89-91 200TQ and the corresponding clutch. The pressure plate and disk from
the 200TQ provide more clamping force than the 5ktq unit. Either way, you
will need the pilot bearing for the 4000Q. All part numbers are available at
http://www.thepartsconnection.com.

As for supercharging the 4000, I've never seen it done!!

Subject: supercharged 4KSQ and clutch mods?

Hi quattrofreunde !
I have an 85 4KSQ and I am planning to get an Eaton or Paxton
supercharger for it. I would like to upgrade my clutch from the regular
228mm to the 5KTQ unit which has 240mm.

        Pressure P. # 035 141 117 K
        Clutch Disc # 035 141 033 G
        Throw B. # 088 141 165 B

Will all this fit or am I looking at modifications?
I would also like to hear what you think about supercharging the NA I-5
Is it possible to integrate the supercharger into the induction system,
what should I look out for, etc ...

Please send mail directly to S8Mania@prodigy.net.
TIA for your help and insight!
