RE: Just bought my Audi! (thank you for the help) and tranny question
Hi,
Just wanted to say a big thank you for all of your help about the
"plate"... I think it is not really made of aluminium, but ratther it is
just a plain sticker, so I don't think I will be able to found one, but I
will look around.

This is exactly how my car looks from the drivers seat, except for that
radio... I think that "audio device" could be a real expensive one, I
haven't seen one long ago... :-)

Why, power windows is standard in US 4000q (81-84)? Mine has manual windows
too.

Yeah, never understood, why would anyone need an Econ gauge in a 2.2L car...
But after I have seen one in a 3.0 Toyota Supra, I didn't surprise on
anything. You Americans have very big cars. Do you have an Econ gauge in a
5.0 engine too? :-) (what next? on airplanes maybe?)

Looks like sticker to me... I will search someone here in hungary to check
the item, but it won't be easy. There are lot of Audis, but mostly the 1.6D
version...

Don't tell me that Air Conditioning is standard too on a US Quattro in 84...
I think I move to the states... (if I win on the green card lottery,
ehhh...)
Regarding my transmission problems... I think my oil level is low, because
the tranny is perfect when it is cold, but as it is geting hoter it is
getting worse...
Ok, the question is, is there an easy way to check the transmission fluid? I
am interested in quantity and quality too. Looks like quantity will be
easier (if someone tells me how to indentify if tere are enough fluid
there), but how can I check if the fluid is good or not?
