typ44 Turbo timing belt question

i just had the timing belt replaced on my '86 5kT (preventive maint, it was 
still good, but it had been on there quite a few miles) .  Now, since its 
been replaced, when the car gets warm, the timing belt is making noise, like 
a bearing noise..

i was told that the belt will continue to make noise, until it "breaks in" 
and the rubber stretches.   anyone else have a noisy timing belt after 
they've replaced it?
