'86 5KQ A/C vent problem solved!

Thanks to list members for more information than I needed. The
mysterious vent problem, addressed in some of the replies among the
general A/C information, turned out to be the programmer after all. The
vacuum hoses had been mis-attached during a previous attempt at repair
by another shop. Once we heard that someone had been in there, we went
back to the systematic step-by-step diagnosis procedure. We thought it
had never been apart. Hose locations corrected, the new programmer did
the trick. Got a happy camper now! Thanks again for all the suggestions.
