1990 V8 - error 537

Hi folks,

This 537 error is supposed to be an O2 problem, but the O2 sensor was
recently replaced (less than 100 miles ago).  When we pull the code it
says "Oxygen sensor regulation limit not reached - INTERMITTENT"  Any
Clues?  Will a generic Bosch 3 wire oxygen sensor work?

Also, does anybody know if fuel injectors are particularly voltage
sensitive.  Injector 3 is firing, 6 is not.  A test LED shows voltage,
but replacing the injector hasn't helped.

The Audi gods are being particularly cruel, and any help would be
appreciated.
