Most likely that there is carbon deposit in the switch contacts
of your window switches, causing a bad connection.  You can disaeemble
the switches and clean them.  Check the archives for info, this has
come up many times.

The motor is interchangeable, but the regulators aren't.  Most places
sell the whole thing as one assembly, though.  I doubt that the regulator
or motor is bad, though.  Clean those switches first.
