I pay $0.00 per hour for Audi service - but as you know, I do it myself
(which of course is not an option in everyone's case).

$74 an hour is what my dentist gets. Last time I was there, his dental tech
discovered that I didn't need anything done, and the look of disappointment
on the dentist's face was truly a joy to behold. $74 an hour for auto
service sounds like top retail at the local thieving Audi dealer.

>2) Do you pay a waste disposal fee no matter what you have done?
>

Yes for oil and anti-freeze. No for anything else. This is an add-on scam.

If you change your own oil, you can take the used oil back to Discount
Auto, Pep boys etc., and they will dispose of it for free. They pay the EPA
disposal fees instead of passing them on to you.

Price of my last oil change: Bosch filter, $4.95, five quarts of Castrol
20-W50, $1.27 each, 6.35, total $11.30 plus 6% tax (68 cents), grand total
$11.98. Took a total of one hour, most of which was back and forth to the
auto parts store, didn't even have to jack up the car, wash hands when done.

Now I know you may not want to do this (and that's OK; I've been accused of
automotive extremism from time to time), but you might be interested to
know the cost with parts at RETAIL - the rest of the price you paid for
Baby's oil change went toward covering the dealer's overhead, sales staff,
fancy building, and his yacht payment this month.

>3) Do you pay a shop supply fee any time your Audi is in for service?

See #2 above - same thing.
