RE : urq sunroof help needed

>How does one remove a sunroof on a urq that:

a) won't budge by turning the crank
b) has both plastic loops broken off the removal pins
c) is in the down and closed position

The plastic loops surround a brass square fitting.  Even with the roof down 
you should be able to see them.  Pull them straight out (towards the middle 
of the car .125 inch) with needle nose pliers or the like.  This will 
disconnect the rear of the roof from the slides, hopefully you will then be 
able to tilt the roof and remove it.
