ENRADD - is it a laser gun?
I have just baptised the new S6. Got nailed with a mysterious device
called ENRADD.
Does anyone know what it is? Does it have a judicious notice in PA?
The road tax collector issued a citation for $92. Charge: "other" and
"obedience to traffic control device" and "speeding 52, allowed 35".
He even tried to sucker me into their regular stupid trap by asking me
fast was I going.
"-35!" :-)
He gave me a long sales speech: -"If I sited you for speeding it
would've resulted in a ~$200 fine and 4 points. Instead I am siting you
for "traffic control device disobedience" which results in "only" 0.5 of
the fine amount and no points". I almost exclaimed: -Gee, what a
bargain!
Why doesn't he try siting those monster-truck-moms cutting me off
without putting their blinker on; systematically doing a left in front
of the oncoming traffic as soon as the light turns green, eh?
A rhetorical question of course. Here it's all about money, not people's
safety, just money.
A FRIGGIN' HYPOCRISY AS A WAY OF LIFE!
In reality he simply knew that at the threat of 4 points I'd find the
best lawyer out there and fight him to the end. Plus, he definitely
sized me up, the car, the demeanor: I was dead calm and very politely
started to ask questions: "where exactly? what kind of a clocking device
was used as my radar detector did not pick up the signal?" etc.
So, if you were I, would you go to court and try to fight the ticket for
less than $100? If I decide to do so I will not hire a lawyer coz it is
twice as expensive as to just pay the ticket.
Do I have much chance defending myself? BTW, my native tongue is not
English.
