typ44TQ brake question
hi. a number of years ago, on my (now wrecked) '84 5kT, the little yellow
triangle warning light (brake pad sensor) came on, and the shop who did work
on it at that time remedied the problem by disconnecting the brake pad
sensors at the front wheels. seemed to work fine, and that was that, never
bothered me again..
now, on my '86 5kTQ the yellow brake pad warning light is on, all the time in
the auto-check display. today i just disconnected the sensors going to the
front wheels, thinking it would make the light go out - but it didnt. is
there anything else you have to do besides disconnecting the connections at
the front wheels to make the light go out?
also, another quick question - the little electric waterpump on top of the
ABS unit - is that supposed to run while the car is running - or after you
shut the car off? i dont think ive ever heard it run.
thanks
chris
