Metal Masters Blues

Hello everyone again.

I recently changed my rotors and pads.  The Rotors were slotted OEMs and the 
pads were metal masters.  After taking the rotors out and examining it, I 
conclude that those pads ate though my rotors faster than the rotors ate 
though the pads.  After replacing my ATE rotors, and some organic pads, I 
fell like the car won't slow down anymore!  I was so depended on the stopping 
power of metal masters that I feel like I'm constanting having my foot on the 
brake.  Anyone have any good suggestions besides getting new calipers.  I 
heard about SS lines, do they work?  Is it hard to install yourself?  Any 
comments are welcome!
