MH99: Update

The commemoration of 100 years of Auto Union to be celebrated at the
Monterey Historic Auto Races at Laguna Seca is now a month away!  If you are

As the date of the event approaches we are going to start running into some
deadlines.  We have been told that the deadline to submit the final car
count for the corrals on Saturday and Sunday is going to be July 26 ... and
I understand that we are still well below our maximum allotment of 200 cars.
I thought I would post this so that if there were any folks contemplating
taking their cars to the Monterey Historics who have not yet signed up ...
it would be best to submit their request ASAP.  Please note that we have
been told that only cars related to the marque (Audi, DKW, NSU, Auto Union,
Wanderer or Horch) will be allowed into the corral.  

I am also in charge of coordinating the volunteer effort, so if any of you
who will be attending the event would be so gracious and willing to give up
a couple hours of your time to help with the details, please contact me via
direct e-mail.  If you are available, please tell me when you plan to be in
the Monterey Bay area ... what times you might be available and when you are
not available.  Perhaps the biggest use of volunteers will be for dealing
with the corral and hospitality events at the track, but there are other
needs (like the banquet) that need to be filled.  If you have any
preferences or special talents which you think may be of use, please feel
free to let me know about them as well.  Thank you very much for the help!
