Heater Valve (was Boost/intercooler stuff)

Your right!  Somethings you've just gotta buy new.

Do I recall correctly that there was a suitable replacement available from 
Pep-Boys that you mentioned awhile back?

Ben -

I don't think you want a used heater control valve. They eventually fail 
and may split in half, like mine did a month or two ago. A new one is only 
$20 or so. Aftermarket ones are usually metal-bodied, which seems to 
prevent the kind of failure that I had with the OEM one, but then again, 
the OEM ones often make it more than ten years.
